Give Your Food Business the Kitchen It Deserves
Starting a food business is hard enough.
You need a licensed commercial kitchen — but leases can run thousands per month before equipment, insurance, and permits. You need commercial-grade tools — but outfitting a kitchen costs tens of thousands. And you need to navigate health department requirements, liability coverage, and wholesale regulations while actually making food and finding customers.
That’s where Crafted Kitchen comes in.
We built Crafted Kitchen so Los Angeles food entrepreneurs can access professional, fully licensed commercial kitchen space — without the overhead, without the long-term lease, and without going it alone. Whether you’re testing a new product, running a catering operation, or scaling into wholesale production, we have the space and the community to help you grow.
Shared Kitchen: Flexibility for Food Entrepreneurs
Our shared kitchen is designed for food businesses that need professional space without the commitment of a private lease. Flexible and fully equipped, it can accommodate up to eight businesses working simultaneously — each with their own station.
The shared kitchen is the right fit if you have a retail customer base and enjoy working alongside other culinary professionals. It’s also a great option for R&D, menu development, product testing, and staff training.
You book the hours you need. No long-term contracts. No surprise maintenance costs. Just professional kitchen access when you need it — surrounded by a community of people who get it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own health permits to use the kitchen?
Yes. Our facility is licensed for commercial food production, but you’ll need your own business licenses and permits for your specific products. We take care of that for you.
Can I store ingredients and products?
Yes — dry, cool, and frozen storage is included with membership. Shared kitchen members have access to shared storage. Private kitchen members have dedicated storage.
How do I book the shared kitchen?
Our online booking system lets members reserve available time slots. During orientation, along with getting familiar with the space, equipment, and community, new members are taught how to use our online booking platform.
What’s the difference between shared and private kitchen membership?
Shared kitchen access is hourly — ideal for testing, small-batch production, catering prep, or flexible schedules. Private kitchens are better for consistent high-volume production, dedicated equipment needs, or businesses with a strong wholesale or retail presence.
Is there parking?
Yes — reserved and street parking are available at our Arts District location at 672 S. Santa Fe Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90021.
